Saturday Recap
Sunday, November 14th, 2010
Received info from My Free Concert and got text message from Heneiken Inspire Encore Saturday morning revealing the location of an event near Pier 36. Waited in line with friends. Went inside a huge warehouse. Drank free beer all day. Watched Diplo rock out. Saw Kool Herc for a second. Saw Pete Rock for a second. Saw Mr. Cee Lo Green for more than a second and danced real hard. Ate free hot dog. Enjoyed my company. Saw Nas for a sec. Walked to Brooklyn over the Williamsburg bridge. Could hear a beat in the rhythm of the J train as it passed. Heard “School” by Nirvana being played in The Shop and decided I had to go in. Watched a Nirvana cover band for a bit that were really dope. Walked friends dog. Checked into Livetapp at The Knitting Factory for my $1 beer. Ate Mexican in Park Slope. Got pitchers and bowled with some of my girls. Had great conversations.
Went to sleep with a big ole’ grin on my face. This is what I live for.
